Dr. Venkat Ragavan is Founder and Managing Director of the company. He has industrial expertise for more than two decades in the field of Generic API development, NCE development, CRAMS, CRO and other chemistry services.

Before founding Chemvisai Labs, Dr. R. Venkat Ragavan worked in different pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations like Nuray chemicals, Advinus Therapeutics, GVK Biosciences and Syngene.

He has developed more than 45 generic APIs for different markets including Indian subcontinent, USA, Europe, Asia Pacefic and other nations. He played crucial role in developing novel route of synthesis, novel polymorph and cost effective process for generic APIs. He has more than 14 patents (Indian, PCT and US) and more than 35 international journals. He worked for many big pharma giants like Pfizer, Merck, Astrazeneca and others as a team leader in
the contract research organizations like Syngene and GVK Bio. He also played a crucial role in developing process for NCEs and transferred successfully the technology to pilot plant.

Dr. Venkat Ragavan has played a lead role and developed many orphan drugs, niche APIs and transferred the technology successfully to US-FDA plant. As a responsible leader, ensured quick DMF filing and approval to meet the ANDA goal date on time by responding the DMF deficiencies within the timeline.
